I don’t remember the exact moment, but somewhere along the line I decided: I am an Artist! And in that moment I began to work. Everyday. I made something…good…bad…indifferent, but I created something. That is being an Artist.
My work is an exploration of the ways in which the method informs the image. I have a strong interest in process; in the layering of materials and ideas. It is an important element in my work.
I never begin with a preconceived notion of what will be but rather abstractions from the larger world. I allow imagery to "happen" often from the flow of the medium I am using.
I am drawn to the irregular and the imperfect. I enjoy the desultory wanderings which come from it.
